Applies to all SOVASH shower kits.
An adjustable wrench and soft cloth are recommended for removing the old shower head and securing connections without scratching the finish.
Identify your shower head, stainless steel hose, PTFE tape, shower arm adapter, self-adhesive holder, and replacement filters. Every connection is designed to be hand-tightened — you should never need to force anything.
Turn off the shower water. Unscrew your existing shower head counterclockwise. Most come off by hand; if yours is tight, wrap it in a soft cloth and carefully use an adjustable wrench.
Remove old tape, debris, or mineral buildup from the shower arm threads. A clean surface prevents most leaks.
Wrap PTFE tape around the shower arm threads 3–5 times, clockwise, pulled snug so it lies flat.
Screw the shower arm adapter onto the shower arm and hand-tighten.
Attach the stainless steel hose to the adapter or directly to the shower arm, depending on your setup, and hand-tighten securely.
Attach the shower head to the free end of the hose and tighten securely. Make sure the fitting is aligned properly before tightening. If your hose fitting has a small rubber washer/gasket inside, confirm it is seated flat before connecting.
Turn the water on slowly so pressure builds gradually. If you notice dripping, hand-tighten the connection a little more or reapply PTFE tape where needed.
Run water through the shower head for 1–2 minutes before first use.
The holder is separate from the water connection. You can use the shower right away — just don't rest the shower head's weight in the holder for 24 hours while the adhesive cures.
The shower arm adapter connects your SOVASH kit to a wall-mounted shower arm when a direct connection is not possible.

Replace the filter media every 2–3 months, depending on water quality and household usage.
SOVASH shower kits are designed to work with standard residential shower installations. If your shower uses a different thread configuration, use the included shower arm adapter.
An adjustable wrench and soft cloth are recommended. The cloth helps protect the finish while removing the old shower head or securing connections.
Most installations take 5–10 minutes once the old shower head has been removed.
Leaks are usually caused by loose fittings, not enough PTFE tape, misaligned threads, or a rubber washer/gasket inside the hose fitting not sitting flat.
Use PTFE tape on threaded shower-arm connections. Hose connections may rely on an internal rubber washer/gasket, so check the fitting and avoid over-wrapping.
This can happen when new filter media is flushed for the first time. Run water for 1–2 minutes until it clears.
Replace the filter media every 2–3 months depending on water quality and household usage. Replace sooner if flow decreases or the filter media looks heavily discolored.
Yes. The water connection can be used immediately after checking for leaks. If using the self-adhesive holder, wait 24 hours before resting the shower head in the holder.
Use smooth, clean, dry surfaces such as ceramic tile, glass, marble, or smooth metal. Avoid textured walls, wallpaper, painted drywall, or uneven surfaces.

Fix: Disconnect the joint, apply fresh PTFE tape where needed, confirm the connection is aligned correctly, and check that any rubber washer/gasket inside the hose fitting is seated flat before reconnecting.
Fix: Check the hose for kinks, rinse the shower head, inspect or replace the filter media, or soak the head in a 50/50 mix of warm water and white vinegar for one hour.
Fix: Remove the connection, realign, and turn slowly by hand. Never force it. Install the included shower arm adapter if needed.
Fix: Run the water for 1–2 minutes. This is normal during initial filter flushing.
Fix: Reinstall on a clean, dry, smooth surface and allow 24 hours before resting the head in it.
